Ian Tregillis

Ian is the author of seven critically acclaimed novels including the Milkweed Triptych (Bitter Seeds, The Coldest War, and Necessary Evil), Something More than Night, and the Alchemy Wars trilogy (The Mechanical, The Rising, and The Liberation). His novels have been translated into nine languages, and have routinely appeared on Best of the Year lists.

His short fiction has been reprinted in over half a dozen Year’s Best collections including Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of the Year, Best New Horror, The Year’s Top Hard Science Fiction Stories, and The Year’s Best Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Ian is a contributor to George R. R. Martin’s Wild Cards series. He is an alumnus of the Clarion Workshop, and holds a Ph.D in physics
