Caitlin McShea

Caitlin Lorraine McShea moved to Santa Fe from Georgetown, Texas in June of 2010, to pursue a graduate degree from St. John’s College. Once she completed her Master’s degree, she began working on Canyon Road, eventually directing two premier contemporary art galleries. In August of 2015, she had the privilege to portray the part of Alicia in a dramatic reading of Cormac McCarthy‘s forthcoming novel Passengers, opposite her incompetent psychiatrist, portrayed by David Krakauer.

After a brief but wonderful trip throughout Europe, Caitlin returned to Santa Fe with hopes to one day open a late-night, European-style charcuterie bistro & enoteca. She’s currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts Certification Program at the Santa Fe Community College, crafting traditional cured sausages, stove-top cheeses, and experimental pickles on the weekends.

In addition to her role as InterPlanetary Festival Creative Director, she manages logistics for SFI’s monthly Community Lecture Series, is the acting Arts Liaison for the institute, and represents SFI in its engagement with and outreach to the greater Santa Fe community. She also edited and illustration the SFI Press release of “InterPlanetary Transmissions: Genesis“

Caitlin currently sits, as director at large, on the Alumni Association Board for St. John’s College. When she’s not at SFI, SJC or SFCC, you’re likely to find Caitlin sipping margaritas at the copper bar of the Shed, or curled up on the couch with her beautiful dog, Sullivan, re-reading Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude.
